Course Overview

This instructor-led course introduces students to the basics of how to organize information and time management. Students will learn how to assimilate and make the best use of the stream of daily information flow. Students will also learn how to process, retain, prioritize, and preserve messages and data that are vital for productivity and effectiveness.

  1. Learn how the best motivational speakers use storytelling, originality and humor to engage their listeners.
  2. Find out why pre-planning is vital to give you the framework on which to build your speech.
  3. Understand how to categorize information and decide whether it's consistent and current.
  4. Get a handle on signposts and bridges that help you with transitions, and help your listeners move with you logically through your speech.
  5. Watch your language and hear why quotes can be a secret weapon.
  6. Discover how to personalize your speech and make it more compelling.
  7. See for yourself through practical exercises why delivery is just as important as content - and why substance and style should be equal partners in your approach.
  8. Determine how best to hold attention with your own passion, conviction, and even some surprises.
